Item disappeared from inventory/armory chest while changing between jobs

I was rapidly switching classes while trading in tokens for gear. I was on BLM with my i240 Relic the Rod of the Black Kahn and switched to my WHM. When I switched back to BLM it told me the item could not be found. It was gone from my inventory/armory chest, I checked retainers and did the item search (result was item not found on player or retainer). I placed an in game support request to have the item replaced and all they would respond with was that I report it here as a bug.
