Connection with the server was lost- only with main character

:confused: I've had this problem intermittently for about 6 months now: I try to log on with my main character, but get as far as the "Now loading" screen (or a few seconds past) and receive a 90002 error. There has been a few times that I've been able to log in any play, but within a few days I'm back to the same issue. I've contacted Support a couple of times and complied with all their suggestions:
port forwarded router
bypassed router
verified that my ISP is not blocking any ports
gave game administrative rights
changed compatibility of game to Windows 7
disabled AV and firewall
adjusted security and privacy settings of IE

Additionally, I've tried:
reset game settings
removing my character data and letting the game rewrite it
reinstalling game
tracert and pinging Behemoth's server (no packet loss, no ping over 120ms)
changing network cables
tried logging in at different times of the day

So here's the thing I don't understand- I am able to log in and play perfectly fine with any and all of my alts- even the one I have on the same server. I even logged my alt out in the same zone and position as my main to see if it was a problem with the zone I was last in. Still same problem, 90002 with main, never any issues with my alts. Have verified this ad nauseum.

Are characters mapped to specific ports? Does the amount of gear/loot affect my loading? Should I move to Montreal? Was I not a good enough Tarutaru in my previous life? I'm grasping at straws here- any information/help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I got the same thing happens to my character in Tonberry since last maintenance. No problem connecting to my other char in another server on the same data center.

I've done everything I can on PS4 including contacting support but still no results.

I see another guy with the same problem as us had his problem resolved though, unfortunately the cause and remedy is unknown.

Unfortunately, the link routes to the topic list (it may have been moved/removed). I too have seen posts here with similar problems but, frustratingly enough, all get mysteriously resolved without any comment as to how. :(

As far as I can guess, it seems to be some kind of timing out issue. When I attempt to log in, I occasionally get to the point where I can see my character, but not everything has loaded yet. Some local objects are missing and my TP bar doesn't fill. I can move around, but entering/leaving/teleporting from the area doesn't work.

Here you can see that the stable isn't there (but the chocobos are), neither the server nor my FC welcomes appear in chat, and my Recommedations window doesn't appear. Then a few seconds later, the 90002 error appears.

Even when I don't get to the game window, my FC friends can see that I logged in and out and if I attempt to relog too soon, I get the "Your character is still logged in" error, so I know that the attempt at least goes that far before (allegedly) timing out.

:confused: What I would love to find out is what it is about my main's character profile that is causing this extra log in time that i could fix/avoid so I'm not in this predicament.

I wish you luck as well, I can only imagine the frustration of having a house lost because of something like this. :(
