L60 Quick Ventures broken?

Just wondering if Quick Ventures are broken?? I've been doing these 5-8 times a day for the past month and was getting much better returns at L50?? It seems they only return one of the same 10-15 items consistently even with full 60 gear. (lvl 30-50 common gear, low level dye, and fish.....)

iLvl 192 (Mostly Augmented and Ironworks gear)
Gathering 924
Perception 804

You would think after doing these multiple times a day for a full month they would accidentally return "Something" of value?? Is this system just broken and I should stop wasting ventures on it or am I missing something here?

No, it's just RNG. While having a fully geared retainer does let you get good items, you have to remember that the pool of items that they can give you is massive. And there are way more "cheap" items than actually valuable ones in the pool

Ok, I'll keep toying with it to see what I can find, I was hoping that the gear would help out but so far, it doesn't seem to make a difference if I gear them with L60 Ironworks, or high level L50 gear.

I have gotten some über rare stuff of late but it is so RNG dependent it's impossible to say, for sure, just how much ilevel matters.

What I found odd is when I equip them back with the HQ L50 gear they seem to bring back much better stuff. :confused:

Item level/stats only affects your retainer's ability to trigger the "good item" group of items(anything that, when brought back has the added text of "-an item most rare!"in the chat log), most of which aren't really that good or rare anymore. Stuff like rare dyes, grade V materia(which is of course still good) and other assorted things that are mostly obsolete now. Besides that one special group, your class, level/item level, stats and gear have absolutely no impact on Quick Ventures whatsoever - it's completely random.

I have 8 lvl 60 hunter class retainers. 3 months ago I took a break from FF14 and returned about 2 weeks ago. I've noticed they've added more items to the quick venture pool. So it's kinda broken now cause more items=harder to get the item's you're use too. I noticed I was getting more black/white (or dyes in general) when My retainers where grinding with lvl 50 gear from 50-60 doing nothing but quick ventures.

Considering black/white dye on my server sells for 200-250k each. I'm kinda but hurt. >_< just spent 300ventures over the last couple of days and got 4 separate random dye drops. So 1 dye drop every 32 quick ventures. Rates where way higher a few months ago. Prob 1 dye drop every 15-20 quick ventures average.
