With cross world PF/RF being added...

Can we finally have the option of blacklisting players we meet in the Raid Finder that are from other servers and prevent them from being matched with us again?

This is something that other MMO's with cross server matching do that I really appreciate. If you meet another player and they end being really rude/obnoxious you have the option of blocking them and preventing yourself from ever being in party with them again.

They mentioned that they were going to be changing blacklist to be cross server during the Live Letter.

I don't think blacklists work for Duty Finder or Raid Finder. You can be matched with a blacklisted person in a duty, all blacklist does is prevents players to join your party in PF. Apparently now it'll be cross server, but it still will be limited only to Party Finder.

I'm not excited about this new cross-server thing.

I feel like it will just make the game less community-oriented than it already is.
I prefer the current system. It lets us get close to people in our server and get to know them.

I know we still have the option to limit it to our server if WE make the party, but it just feels even less community-oriented.

What's wrong with getting close to people from other servers?

What he's saying is that he wants to see people often enough that you start recognizing each other. That happens a lot on small servers, people can actually get to know each other and you can develop a reputation. Big servers, and now cross-server, too many people for that.

Personally? I've never run into the same person twice, so I don't feel a loss here.

Right now though it can be very difficult getting a party together for some things on lower population servers. I think it will be a good thing for people playing on them especially.
