More Scutums?

As fun as the game is, I really hate how there's been so few options for shield types. Practically our only options have been for Kites, while giving no options for the heavier, less frequent scutums, or the weaker, more frequent bucklers. More variety for shields, plz?

Side note you can blame "Balance" for the lack of shields.

I read Scrotum to be completely honest with everyone lol.

They don't want some dumbass paladin to pick the wrong option so they just made one option. Granted, there's no reason to choose a kite or buckler over a tower, so I guess they kind of have to force it.

It seems they dropped the Tower(High Str/Low Rate)/Kite(Med Str/Med Rate)/Buckler(Low Str/High Rate) shield type stat distinctions during 3.2 when they did the tank stat rebalancing.

They likely normalized all the i220+ shield types to Kite even though they still made Tower and Buckler models (look at Shield of the Twin Thegns and Sophic Shield for Tower/Scutum models and the Midian Metal Shield and Alexandrian Metal Buckler for Buckler models) so that they wouldn't have as many tank balance issues while they worked on 4.0.

If my understand is not wrong, an i270 Tower Shieldwas going to turn Sheltron into a ~32%+ single hit mitigation cooldown on a 30s recast.

Laaaaame... that's no fun...
