Unable To Complete Version Check - PS4

Started up XIV (PS4 Version) about an hour after maintenance was confirmed to have ended and after I put in my passwords to log in to my character selection screen, instead of giving me the red -> now green log in button, a message of:

'Unable to complete version check.' was shown to me.

There was no option of suggested actions, just okay and cancel. Both options lead back to the XIV password input screen.

Tried looking for updates on the application and system but nothing. Reset router too just in case that as the issue but apparently not. This has not happened to me before and it didn't happen before the maintenance this morning. Suggestions on how to fix at all?
