Thaumaturge/Black Mage Spells.

AoE dots needs to removed from the combos.
(Why would I do that with a bunch of mobs, then they can be slept and oh look my whole party just wiped)

The bonus needs to be removed on this because this is rarely going to happen. There will be white mages with OCD that will heal me till I am full of hp. Or I am gonna piss someone off by spamming sacrifice to obtain that low HP.

No cool ability like White-Mage where we use all our MP to unleash a powerful attack?

So White mage has Benediction, Chain spell, Holyshi... Holyga,, and an ability to increase there magic attack potency.

And we get the ability to switch our HP and Mp
(Not to useful at all if you MP exceeds your Hp, and a good Wizard knows when not to get hit so there won't be a need to switch my HP/MP)

And restore HP with the next magic attack spells... (seriously?)

Run your MP nearly out, then Convert, then combo thm9 > blm1... massive damage?

It doesn't say whose health.

If you don't want to AoE dot, don't do the combo. Gee, that was an easy fix. . .

Assuming BLM1 is in fact based on your current HP, just do like the very first response says: run your MP to nearly 0, Convert, and then cast this spell while your HP is still low. Then use your ability to restore HP.

I'm also kinda curious how you're going to spam sacrifice to obtain low HP, considering that I don't see any cures whatsoever on the new THM list, much less one that costs HP to use. . .


Edit: Actually, looking at the list again, I have no idea what AoE dots you're seeing at all. The only one I see under THM is BLM3, which isn't a combo at all.

My mistake about the AoE DoT it's Black Mage Magic 3.

As for the Hp/Mp switch, I plan to have more points put into Int/Piety/Mind more than anything. So it won't be a full MP restore to my MP bar, since I don't plan to have very high HP.

Yes, but the 2k MP or so that you would get from switching should be higher than the double digits or so that you would have left before using the ability. I never said it would be a full restore, but it will allow you to keep casting longer.

True, I retract the comment about the Hp/Mp switch. :O

So, as far as CNJ getting the attack magic boost, the only thing I can think of is that, well, they might very well need it to be able to solo effectively. I mean, looking at the combos for the classes (ignoring the job abilities), CNJ would look kinda miserable to try to level without that buff, whereas THM looks like it could blast things to hell and back. >_>

Nah, I think the different there, you may think of using this to heal you quick, but I would think of your MP nearly run out, so you swap HP/MP to regen MP to full and have low HP remain instead. (because a good mage know when to not get hit, yes?)
