Help: Can't find Job Actions? What am I missing?

Hello All,

I have a rather embarrassing question, but I can't find my job actions on my hot bar or character menu. What am I missing? (I am thinking I need to unlock a story requiremnt or something.)

Any advice / info is greatly appreciated.

Info about my current state
-Level 50 Arcanist
-Level 39 Thaumaturge
-Have just received my Soul of the Summoner Soul Crystal, so I can equip and become a Level 50 Summoner
-Still need to finish Main Scenario Quest. Currently just completed Level 27 "Wilred wants you."

Even though I am listed as a Summoner, when I go to my ACTIONS tab, I don't see any of the Summoner actions (Fester, Tri-blind, etc.) as listed here http://www.ffxivinfo.com/job/summoner.php

I still only see my Arcanist actions, the highest being Shadow Flare.
I am playing on PS3 with a controller.

Did you equip the soul Stone? Do you see a "Job" section after you equipped the soul stone?

Yes, Soul Stone is equipped. I have a "JOB" tab under "Actions & Traits," but only "Summon III" for Ifrit is listed. Nothing else…

Well, I think your answer lies in the fact you stated you've only just completed the first Job quest for SMN, so it only unlocks one Job ability (the aforementioned Summon III). You need to do further Job quests every 5 levels from then on to get the rest of your Job abilities, so go back to Y'mhitra and do them. ;)

Additionally, SMN is unique in that some of the quests are in fact dependent on main scenario completion - namely, you need to have passed the Titan and Garuda story mode Primal fights (the initial Job quest is also dependent on clearing Ifrit for the same reason). You simply cannot gain their 'egis' (and the Job quests that turn Carbuncle into them) without passing these battles. By the look of things, you have not even cleared Titan yet so that explains why you have no more Job abilities. Go do your main scenario and once you've passed Titan and Garuda you will be able to gain the Job quests and their abilities they give you.
