Feast season 3 points system is dump

You can lose and lose and lose and lose and your rating barely drops at all? Is this how it is suppose to be? So as long as you keep on playing the more wins you get the higher your rating will be with no fear of loosing matches and loosing ratings? I don't get it. It makes anyone with incredibly low win ratio able to climb high in the rankings.

It SEEMS that it rewards matches played much more than previous seasons, but I'm still in silver so I don't know if anything changes when you get up to gold. I haven't had much time to play this season...

How many points do you lose with losses in Gold, Platinum and Diamond? Cause Silver and Bronze don't matter who cares how many points you lose in that tier.

So it takes about 2 losses to cancel out one win then?

It's like a 45% winrate to get to platinum now.. so platinums this season will be the silver/bronze players of S1 and S2... Which is hilarious!

It seems to be like this:

Unranked - 0
Bronze - 5
Silver - 10
Gold - 15
Platinum - Probably 20 (no Platinums at time of post)
Diamond - 25 (No more mitigating losses)

I'd expect to see 3k - 3.5k rated players this season. S1 and S2 you'd start to get hit with -25 starting at Gold. In S1 we saw 2.4k+ rated players, which is 1500 rating above that threshold. This is assuming that Diamond is at 2k rating, which again nobody knows for sure yet since there are 0 plats at time of posting.

Wow so Platinum is the new season 1 version of Gold tier. Only Diamond tier means anything really now. But I guess as long as they keep the top 2 tiers at -20 and higher for losses it's not a big deal since those are the tiers that are actually supposed to matter. Also as long as platinum and diamonds are not being matched up with unranked, bronze, silvers in matches anymore to screw up the point differentials this might not actually be a bad thing. The gatekeeper tier merely moved from gold to platinum.

The patch notes said diamond did not get reduced. I believe it is between -25 and -32 depending on matchmaking. This is based off a conversation I had with a season 1 diamond player.

hmm not really more like the current platin is like season 1 gold even tho I dont think much will change I bet the leaderboard will still be mostly gold.
