Unique materia from cursed item.

I was thinking you could make some real unique materia that can only be created from a specific item. Some NM would drop this unique armor or weapon and it would take a really long time to bond. On top of that, the stats of the weapon are terrible the item might induce some ailment upon equipping it.

Something to add a little depth to the game.
While you're at it, make Ifrit drops have much lower stats and let people turn them in to unique materia.
