Esoterics are now outdated. What do you need that you require them for? The method to obtain it will have been changed.
These can no longer be obtained as of patch 3.5 since tomestones of Scripture were added as the weekly cap tomestone and tomestones of lore were moved to be the uncapped tomestone. Gear previously obtained with Esoterics can now be gotten with Centurio seals at the hunt vendor in Ishgard and the crafting items and other miscellaneous items can now be obtained with Lore tomestones.
It's an obsolete currency. What could you possibly need them for? There's nothing to spend them on.....
You can still buy some relic item with eso from Hismena, but everything she sells for eso can be bought with lore now.
Esoterics are, as people said, no longer obtainable. The gear you could buy with them moved to the Hunt Seals Vendors in Foundation into the Forgotten Knight, for a few seals each (I think 170 for body and legs?).
And what Hismena still offers (iirc the Umbrite, nothing else), is also available for 300 lore now.

Daily Roulettes, then.
Farming... ugh. Aetherochemical Research Facility gives 150 a run. Antitower, too, is very very fast and efficient.
