This is one of those things where I would eternally appreciate some insight from their engineers on how the system works. Very frustrating to see that the notes say one thing when the reality is another.

Koltik, think you might be jumping the gun on this one. Given how you are easily one of the best on primal you likely the first to silver, and given what que times where yesterday for me (30 min + at 9pm EST, so i just gave up...), there are likely no one else at the top.
Yep, you are the only silver after the ranking update, and there are only 38 total Bronze.
Also, if they did actually adjust how much you lose if a loss, like the notes said, the plus side is at least playing with the unranked and losing will not hurt as much. -

This is not good match making. This is what happened in S1, and it was not fun. There is a huge difference between a 670 rated player and a 1000 rated player, never mind three of them. There is also a big difference between 2000 and 1000, but one player can only do so much in a 4v4 match.
Regarding me getting these games because I'm the only silver, it is irrelevant. My pops were instant on healer. It didn't even give a chance for me to get matched with others that were Bronze, because the queue was literally instant. I'd rather sit in a 30 minute queue for a really even and balanced match than get instant matches of bad match making. -

Gold is confirmed not to get unranked, so it is more of a S1 matching system. The problem here is the new rating system.
With the new amounts you lose, you just need a 25% win rate to get to Silver, and a 33% winrate to get to Gold. These gold and silver players that you are being matched with are going to be much lower quality than they were in S1. It probably won't be as bad as S2 matchmaking was, but it will probably be way worse than S1 matchmaking.
Being a self-loathing millennial myself, I blame millennials for this issue. 33% to get Gold? Come on SE.
