Retainer returns

I am tired of having retainers go out for 18 hours, spend time in some inn drinking and having a good time and coming back with a ...block of butter or some other boring item. What do you actually have your returns been? Mine are max level and fully geared for top tier. I send mainly on expeditions and every day they come back with the same crap. Other than storage space and the basic items brought back what do you have yours do?

I gave up on the 18hr one because all they ever bring back is a silver piece and some random junk they found on the floor on the way back. The hour ones ain't much beter but at least I get a few glamour items from it sometimes, so yay?

Mine likes to bring me fish. I have two I actively send out, my main one being a level 60 bard that is getting my old gear set (so he'll be around ilvl 230-ish). But he mostly brings me fish, the occasional low level crafting mat (thanks for the iron ingot, I guess), or another favorite of his: Darklight gear.

This is the exact reason I only use the 1 hr venture where I select the mat to be gathered. While the return is never exceptional, it is always useful.

Yea, The 18 hour ones are worthless, the only reason i see using it is for people with very limited playtimes, or don't plan on being on again for at least a day. waste of ventures, otherwise, they have never brought back anything useful, one could argue with those silver peices but lol at those, as the time it takes to bring those back i could get 20x the amount in just an hour. just by doing dungeons. they really need to revamp those. even hunting ones is more useful, they will at least bring back mats of your choosing.

The 18-hour duration is perfect if you have a 9-5 job: send them out before bed, they'll arrive when you get home the next day. Admittedly, this is probably most useful when getting exp for a retainer.

agreed, i only use 18 hr when the level cap is increased, the rewards/returns are junk and a waste of venture tokens.
