GC squadrons

What's the point of GC squadrons...sure you can use them to rank up but what else...I think this is one of those things where we were thrown a bone just got the hell of it...we should have had the option to take our squadron out and level alongside them...right now honestly it just feels flat.

I recall them saying that the plan was to develop a system where you could take 3 of your squadron members into a dungeon with you, and clear stuff with them.
Additionally, there are some decent rewards/booster items you get from clearing the missions when your squadron gets to rank 3.

So then it would be like the ff12 model

Oh wow. You are right. I remember hearing this long time ago.

..I want to glamour my squadron! And also maybe use one of those retainer potions to restyle them.

As it stands right now the end-game for squadron seems to revolve around setting up the right chemistry in order to have them bring back various rewards.

For example; you can set a chemistry that'll have a 40% chance of bringing back DoW Materia if all races in the group are different.

The chemistry is randomly picked up per-member when completing missions. You can either set them via the Regimen Board --> 'View Squadron Roster' (right click the chemistry box if the lightning bolt icon is blue to set it) or choose to ignore and wait for a better one. Once you set one it stays set permanently until you choose to overwrite it with a different one.

My experience with the Materia chemistry thus far has been 9x IV materia of that type when it procs.

I've also seen chemistry for a % chance at them bringing back MGP and even one for Gatherer's Scrips. I've yet to proc the scrips one and am curious if it is red or blue scrips as it does not specify...

That is a surprisingly good materia yield. I have been neglecting the chemistries for bringing back stuff and focusing on the ones for stat improvement, but sounds like I should change focus.

I have being choosing my chemistry wrong!
