Red Mage = Yda?

Good eye, it certainly looks convincing enough to be Yda to me. Although, I don't see a connection to her being a red mage.

I do not believe she is a red Mage at all. I've always seen her as monk, and considering this new expansion is monk heavy... It makes sense for her to be monk.

Even though people say "she isn't Yda, she doesn't have the tattoo!!", I truely believe this lovely lady is Yda. Just because she lacks said tattoo, does not necessarily mean it's not her. The tattoo could've been fake *shrug* or maybe they didn't want spoilers. Who knows but the devs.

Or could it be a flashback? No tattoo would make sense then?

I'm fairly certain it is, the eye color/shape is the same. (I just rewatched that cutscene recently, heh) I don't think that was Red Mage, more likely Monk. Which would make sense since Yda is a Pugilist.

The neck tattoo placement could be underneath the necklace. It's pretty close.

Well it coul be some sort of flashback, before she left Ala Migho and got the tatoo. Plus, this is a big necklace at the bottom of the neck, where the tatoo usually is...

it's yda, but i doubt she is monk or red mage

all her move set don't match the monk style, more a dancer like. in the CG her movement are fluid and smooth, when monk in game are more about hard hitting attack than smooth movement. plus she have tons of kick, when monk (the midlander) is mostly fist. (fist of rahgr after all) she too use some attack with her clothes that look like dancer move.

Yup i directly thought it was a Dancer too. I'd prefer Red mage, i can barely imagine Someone dancing in a battlefield...
But aren't dancers dps/healers ? Is this also a teaser to tell us hybrid jobs will come ?

A flashback would then necessitate the Warrior of Light to be a time traveler. Which...I guess we are? We gave Cid his goggles and then there's the whole Alexander debacle...
