Will Dx9 stay supported?

Heya, as quite a few of you are already aware, the PS3 support will get dropped by the release of Stormblood, though that raises for me the question: Will Direct x 9 will stay supported aswell?

Sadly i currently have a computer setup that doesn't allow me to play Dx12 games and thus i have to rely on Dx9 for FF14 and the devs stopping the support for PS3 makes me question that.

I apologize if this is the wrong subforum though, pretty new here. ._.

Yes. They said that they were urging people to move towards the 64-bit version (DX11), but that for now 32-bit (DX9 version) would continue to be supported. Maybe at 5.0 they plan to drop 32-bit/DX9, but they didn't say that much.

Thank you so much for that! It at least will give me plenty of time to upgrade my system so up until then it should not matter to me then.

Any news as to whether they're going to optimize the DX11 further? I don't really feel like losing 20 fps just to have my ground textures look freaky/worse.

PS4 is not DX11 compatiable, it uses Vulkan/Open GL.

So I assume they won't drop it any time soon.
