Chocobo Stable Issue

I wish to relinquish land but cannot as there is a chocobo still present in the chocobo stable. The person this choco belongs too was dismissed from the fc more than a year ago and his chocobo still remains there. I have the option to move the stable but when it prompts me to get rid of the stable im greeted with an error message saying I cannot as there is a chocobo still present in the stable. Now I am prevented from switching to a new fc house as I cant remove this stable. Again, the chocobo of someone I dismissed from my fc STILL remains in the stable and cannot remove the stable as there is still a chocobo in there.
