Game won't open on Mac El Capitan/Sierra

When I had El Capitan on my mac the game would often crash immediately upon opening from the client, but sometimes I could get in and play for a while. It was mainly just a matter of trying to get in until the game actually got to the main screen and I could play. Now it does the same thing but never opens at all. 100% of the time it crashes and I can't even get to the Heavensward screen. I just want to play :( is anyone else having this problem??

Update: uninstalled. Reinstalled. Still same problem. I can't play at all at this point and I'm not sure if I'm ready to drop the cash to get everything on my ps4 as well
