Paladin Guide 3.4?
Hey all :) Just starting to get into tanking and am wondering if there is a good, comprehensive guide out there for Paladins? I found the Reddit thread with the visual guide, but am look for something that covers topics such as stat distro, melds, BiS gear, cross class abilities, etc. Anyone have a recommendation? Google didn't turn up anything particularly useful. Appreciate any advice that can be offered, and wish me luck on my tanking adventure :)

Protect, Foresight, Bloodbath, Stoneskin, Mercy Stroke. There are also some very rare uses for Fracture but I wouldn't worry about it.
Go for crit and det and avoid parry and you'll be fine for gear. For raids you'll need some accuracy as well, but the amount varies per boss. In 3.4 somewhere around or below ~712 seems to be fine - I haven't missed yet with that. All shields are the same now, but if there's ever a choice then use a shield with higher block power than rate. (referred to as tower shields unofficially).
Meld right side gear with Strength in the first slot. If it's crafted you can add crit, det, speed, or (if needed) accuracy after the first slot. For left side melds use the same stat priority as gearing. The exception is Determination IV materia - this gives less stat than the other IVs because of old design so I think that speed IV might outpace it slightly. Tier V materia corrects this problem, though.
Make a cover macro that lets you use it with mouseover. Blind is actually really useful in big pulls so try to space out your flashes to not overwrite. You can do flash>flash and then wait for the timer to be close to expiring and flash again.

Thank you so much Brann! Since we're on the same server, mind if I look you up with any other questions that I might come across? Really appreciate the assistance :)

Fracture is a dps loss.
Use the cross class skills Brannigan posted although you can swap protect for raise if you want.
You'll need 715 accuracy for raiding.
Melds are Str on accessories first, everything else Crit > Det
You want to keep Skill speed between 600 - 700 since its not really a dps increase for pld, you'll just run out of tp faster.
Remember that these are seconday stats, vit outweights all others followed by str > crit > det
Parry may be of use sometime in the future.

Parry is funny to me. When on PLD, and I'm pulling mobs in a dungeon, I see "Parried" pop up more on the pulls than when I'm stationary. I also parried Titan's Landslide (but still got knocked off). I wish Parry served as a means of getting in a counterattack, like how {Reprisal} worked in FFXI.
