I am mainly playing my crafter & gatherer, and seldom go to the dungeons. Are there anyone out there like me? Normally I turn on my Eorzean time app and gather nodes at certain timeslots. I use approx. 10-15 minutes an hour for gathering. Then I go run my house errands but leave PS4 on, until I hear the app alarm for another round of gathering. Tbh, I gather mostly for making some gils and enjoy the beautiful scenaries in Eorze. I craft from time to time, but Macro most of the time. I use ffxivcrafting.com often. It is okay to do the gathering and crafting in this way, but I am feeling quite lonely in the game sometimes. :( Share with me if you have similar experience...

Wish we were on the same server. I don't have anything against dungeons and such and do enjoy them, but I spend most of my time crafting, fishing, and roleplaying, really. :)

10-05-2016, 07:55 PMyosmentAs for the new patch 3.4, many of the i250 gears need mats that are only traded with Lores... this is a bummer for me cause I have no lores if I stay away from the dungeon. It is sad for me to see that Desynz has been down prioritized by SE so I cannot desynz those new mats either.Quote:

I play Crafter / Gatherer 75% of the time. I keep current with dungeons but raids and primals usual fall by the wayside. I complete them months after they were relevant.

My daily routine is DR running, then whatever I'm needing to do (such as working on leveling PLD and getting its i200 Relic).
On Saturday and Sunday though, that is when I get my Gathering on. For about 3 hours each day, gather Collectible Chysahl, Adamantite Ore, and then the three new ores and three of the four (eschewing Brown Mushrooms) Botany items. With a high amount of luck I can actually gather all 30 Collectible Chysahl for the following Thursday's crafting reset on Saturday, which would let me skip that node or collect normal Chysahl.
My Retainers take care of most of my materials gathering. -

I remember when I started gathering and crafting. I hadn't stepped into any dungeons for about 2 months. I didn't complete Shep and Midas and normal mode until about a week before 3.4

I work little by little on completing my crafting logs.
I've made all of the non-housing items for all classes and all the carpenter housing items. Next is blacksmith housing items!
When my levequests reach 100, I spend 1 day doing all of them for crafting (for the achievement).
I try to do the Provisioning and Supply quests for Grand Company Seals. I use the seals to buy mats.
Do hunts to exchange for items to exchange for GC Seals to buy more mats. (An ventures to let me retainers get crystals)
I also try to gather my own crystals if I can. I find crystals in area where I haven't gotten the gathering achievements yet and gather them there.
I try to run Roulettes every day for Lore and gil. With the lore I buy mats.
I go to nodes when they pop to get mats.
Then I spend an hour or two "Crafting up a Storm" and then sell everything on the MB.
It's too much to do in 1 day, but I try my best to at least do Grand Company supply / provisioning and Roulettes every day. If there is time, I gather and and actually craft with everything I've saved up.
What I can't understand is how people can afford to buy tons of V materia and new armor when having no crafting jobs leveled up... -
