Model issue with DS4 in Windows version of FF14?

I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place, but I couldn't think of a better place to post this inquiry.

I bought a DS4 however, I found that it isn't functioning quite as I had expected. I read that they are now support as of the last patch, but I decided to make sure this was correct. In the patch notes it says that CUH-ZCT1J is the only model supported with CUH-ZCT2J support planned in a future patch. Well, mine is a model CUH-ZCT1U.

My questions are then should this work, will it be supported, and how can I make sure that I get the correct model?
I very much would like to avoid third party software and so have no interest in such tools as DS4windows and the like.
