[Suggestion] CT Cross-Over Event

Ok, I know this is is REALLY going out on a limb and somewhat wishful thinking.

Picture this...
A cross over event with the headline of "3 mysterious warriors appear." Your character has to first figure out who and where these guys came from. Through a series of quests, you find these warriors are actually time travelers named Chrono, Lucca and Marle and they've arrived in this world to stop a world-ending threat that goes by the name of Lavos. You all end up having to work together to defeat Lavos with Lavos being some kind of large-scale open world FATE on the level of an Odin or Behemoth fight.

I believe it fits with Yoshi's guideline of "wanting a game to come to it's conclusion before trying to make it fit within FFXIV's world." It'd be similar to the Lightning event with her hoping worlds and whatnot...except with characters we actually care about. (Sorry Lighting fans -_-)

Oh, you wanna do 1000 more FATEs?

Hmm... I think people might be getting a bit tired of the crossover events. I enjoyed Chrono Trigger as well but I don't really need to see them in Eorzea. I'd rather see a homebrew event using in-game lore and original characters rather than another Lightning Strikes or Yo-Kai FATE grindfest.

Honestly? Wouldn't really fit with XIV as of now. Hate Lightning all you like, but she comes from another world and given the new information we've learned in 3.4, her existence is supported in the mythos. So far, the only time travel aspect we even have is through the use of the echo and that's only limited to revisiting old memories. Though in the future when more plot points and lore come up, it could become a possibility.

If anything, I'd sooner expect a cross over from Chrono Cross given the use of separate dimensions.

They gutted Moonfire Faire of the gathering/crafting components, you think an event like this would be any better than Yokai Watch?

Perhaps my memory is hazy, but I'm fairly certain only 1 of the 4 Moonfire Faires so far had crafting play any significant role, and that was the battered fish in..2015? Hardly fair to refer to removing a 1 time thing like that as gutting something from an event, but maybe that's all you'd ever known, and perception is reality as they say.
Actually, we were still able to craft the Rolanberry Shaved Ice in the 2016 event. Maybe doing the fate was the easy/lazy way to get your tickets, but crafting was still an option.

This is true, and it still reflects poorly on them to add it as a purchasable item right next to the turn-in, so we'd have essentially two FATE events at once right after our relic FATE grind.

Have you played through 3.4 yet? I see visions of Chrono.
