Dragoon's Alexandrian Gauntlets of Maiming from Alexander Savage mode unfinished?

I recently noticed something very off about the Alexandrian Gauntlets of Maiming. They do not match the rest of the set in terms of paint / color scheme. It appears that said item looks to be unfinished in the paint department. Especially if you try on the prototype maiming set and see how the gauntlets match the rest of the prototype set. The gauntlets from savage does not match the rest of the rest from savage at all.
