[Spoiler] 3.4 End Cutscene Rant

Why did the ascians give the masked man the eyes of nidhogg? We just spent an entire expansion trying to get rid of him, had an epic end game moment of throwing them into the abyss below Ishgard, and now they are back? Why couldn't they just give the resistance a new weapon. I feel like this completely undermines everything we just did during the xpac. I can think of way better ideas that this. I.e some kind of allagan super weapon, the ability to create devestating disasters, floods, lightning, break down matter etc. anything would be more interesting than this! I'm honestly a little upset.

But we ARE gettinga new super weapon! Omega weapon is getting activated and it's the size of cartenau flats! As for the eyes, we knew they'd be back considering in the same cutscene that has us throw them away, we see the WoD pick them up so no surprise there

Recycling of ideas since apparently they can't come up with new stuff. Was quite disappointed when I saw that as well.

You know the eyes were going to come back in play since the ending cutscene of 3.3

Maybe if we had chosen a better method of trying to get rid of them forever than throwing them off the same side of a bridge. That was the cut scene that was disappointing.

Because we were stupid enough to throw them into a Chasm rather then destroy them.

That aside, we were far more useful this patch. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

It seems like it would be incredibly difficult to get rid of them. I'm hoping that the reason why they still exist is because the Warrior of Light, Aymeric and Alphinaud chose to save Estinien rather than kill him. It'd make his recovery feel more like a two-sided-sword. Hopefully they won't possess this 'Griffin' guy and instead simply empower him.

I'm more upset about the whole Hydaelen totally caused the the Warriors of Darkness to accidentally doom their world, but, now that the WoL and Urianger of The Source world has called her out on her bullshit, she's going to totally make it all better by sending Minfilia of all people to save The First.

Then she was all: "I totally want balance despite not ever saying anything about it ever to you."

I always thought that someone was going to use the Eyes of Nidhogg to power Omega Weapon like a giant battery. I don't think that we will be seeing Niddy again, but that's how I think they're going to be used.
