Optional Item Pricing

Only in the MMO world will you find stuff so outrageously priced... SE seems to be taking a leaf from WoW's book on the pricing for outfits, mounts, etc..

SE- if you look around, even Ubisoft knows not to price outfits over 5$ for The Division. Many are free even.

I'm getting tired of the DLC driven gaming community, especially to games that I already pay a significant amount to in subscription fees.

If people wouldn't buy them, then it might make SE lower their prices. But because many people have income to waste, or possibly a bad impulsive buying mindset, there's little chance of many things being dropped in price. There were a LOT of people going around on that weird fat moogle mount when it first came out.
