-Ewer and Spire card effects merged together.
-Spire becoming a crit buff card effect.
-Spear also affecting spells already on cd perhaps by 15% instead of the 20% for casting
after the card.
-Balance to buff the targets primary stat or to also buff healing potency as well as damage.
-Nocturnal Stance's innate effect to increase healing potency as well as damage, to give it a little extra oomph to compete with diurnal in dps when you get paired with a white mage and aren't the main healer.
-Allow Aspected Helios and Aspected Benefic's shield to stack in nocturnal (I just love bubbles :P)
-Have recasting Aspected Helios or Aspected Benefic overwrite the previous shields, those darn crits make refreshing shields super annoying when prepping for big hits especially when their timers are about run just short so that person doesn't get a shield for the hit.
-Time Dilation and Celestial Opposition to increase the shield strength when hitting allied targets with nocturnal shields.
-Collective Unconscious to refresh the nocturnal shield's duration (not the remaining shield amount) for people inside the bubble every time it refreshes it's own effect since casting isn't possible while channeling the spell.
-Gravity to cast a short heavy or slow debuff on targets hit by the effect. (I love gravity but thematically is just needs one of these effects!)
I want Time Dilation to enhance Nocturnal shields and I want less dud cards.
I also love the card changes proposed by the above poster.
edit: Damn, didn't realize that was you posting. I was confused as to how several people just found this thread and immediately had paragraphs of text.
Really I just want less RNG-relying mechanics and an Ace from Type-0 glamour set.

Well those are all the things I would really love to see on Astrologian, some of them being a little out there or probably overpowered but it's just for fun. I think most of them were focused around nocturnal because for the most part I find diurnal very rewarding and enjoyable to play but nocturnal although being my favourite stance doesn't seem to benefit much from the key ability spells the class has access to, contrary to diurnal which benefits greatly from all of them.
Please post below about any fun or crazy ideas you have for the Astrologian class that would make it more fun and rewarding for you, or if you're a salty individual keen on tearing apart the sweet innocent hearts of us gentler folk, please tell me all about how much you hate my ideas :D
i want two things.
1. Somehow attack with my cards, cause that is just super badass.
2. More cards to draw, cause that is the easiest way to give us more abilities without bloating the hotbar with more icons.
I'm going with changes but for QOL purposes, I have no idea what they'll do for what they quoted earlier.
*Swapped level requirements for Gravity (which now comes with a "Slow"/"Knockdown" effect) with Combust II.
*You can cast time dilation on yourself. Casting this on either yourself or the target of synastry will increase the duration of both effects.
*Collective Unconscious - The 10% damage reduction and the visual effect will now stay if you are interrupted or move, but the heal overtime effect will only reapply itself to targets while successfully channeling the ability.
*Redraw - will not only draw a new card, but will replace itself with a card ability for a maximum of 15 seconds. This particular card will be guaranteed not to be in the same Royal Road Category as the other card.
*Celestial Opposition - In addition to its original effects, CO will apply the currently spread card to all party members with a 5 second increase and heal those targets for X potency, without consuming the spread card at single target power.
Thats all I could think of. I added the change to CO just because I felt it was a bit lackluster for a lvl 60 ability. Wasn't sure if I should add a card effect or a heal effect so I added both.
- Spire and Ewer now one card (Ewer) that regens both TP and MP
- Spire now grants 20% Crit
- Balance increases Healing Potency and Attack Potency by an equal amount (10%)
- Bole is now 20% Damage Reduction for 15 seconds
- Spear lasts 30 seconds and reduces current cooldowns
- Celestial Opposition spreads your currently drawn card to all party members and extends its duration by 5s
- Time Dilation doubles Nocturnal Sect's shield on the target
- Using a card restores 2% of your max Mana
Withing that area, why not make you able to use a Card Toss ability that places the reverse effect on an enemy.
The Bole: Vulnerability debuff on target and deal damage with potency of 80
The Balance: Weaken debuff on target and deal damage with potency of 80
The Arrow: Slow debuff on target and deal damage with potency of 80
The Spear: Heavy debuff on target and deal damage with potency of 80
The Ewer: Silence debuff on target and deal damage with potency of 80
The Spire: Pacify debuff on target and deal damage with potency of 80
With this being on GCD it should be fine.
