Ifrit weapons and Class Reforms [dev1206]
Although I'm eager to try out the class reforms [dev1206] for 1.20 and on, I'm disappointed that a patch cannot be released to fix the loot system prior to 1.20. As many of us have noted, it is incredible difficult and frustrating to get a specific drop on Ifrit. Personally, the only two weapons I'm missing are for my two favorite jobs (LNC and PGL). I had hoped that if 1.20 would contain the new loot system, then we could run Ifrit with your teams and finally distribute drops appropriately--where, for example, dupes could be handed out and I don't have to watch that precious harpoon go in the trash again and again... This would make things go a lot quicker for those of us who have no difficulty beating Ifrit any more.
However, now with all these class changes (in addition to continued balancing), I'm worried that our teams will have to re-learn how to fight Ifrit all over again. Extending the life of content for people who've already mastered it... yeah. Fun... maybe for some, but not for all. Especially when you're only doing it to get an item or two that's been dangling in front of you, but inaccessible due to a broken loot system.
But I'm not complaining about the class reforms. Again, they sound interesting, and I'm eager to try them out. I just wish the known issues with the current content could be ironed out first.
