I would really like to see a "branch" job off of Paladin in a new patch or expansion called Knight. (Got the idea from http://gematsu.com/2015/11/final-fan...asses-detailed)
Instead of a Shield in the secondary slot, we could equip a second sword and have it be a DPS class. :) I really like the Paladin. Just not a fan of using shields. And would like to try DPS.
in japanese the name of the paladin job actually is "Knight". and a Knight without a shield actually is what the "Dark Knight" is (there is some story in the job quests). also the Dragoon is some kind of knight without a shield, but with a lance.
but whatever, it is unlikely that they bring another job based on a existing class (like summoner and scholar), because it is too difficult to balance. scholar has the best dps capabilitys of all healers because of his base class. if they would implement a DD based on gladiator, we have a new overpowered off-tank here. high dps, def-cds, provoke... yay
Nothings impossible, i know others would like to see this as well, im sure the developers will know what to do to make it as balanced as can be. Even Raubahn is that "Paladin" type with his two knight swords. (one now i guess lol)
Just listing this under suggestions, so the dev team knows. :)
