Slow patching Download PS4

Hi,
I was recently on the trial version on FFXIV, downloaded it no problems and patched it at about 2.5MB/s. I then purchased the full version (Realm reborn no Heavensward), and for whatever reason the game would not register me as a full account so I had to reinstall (no issues there).

However, I am now currently trying to patch the game and it is downloading at 0.02MB/s and will take approximately 7867 minutes to complete. I have tested my internet connection and there is no issue on that part, I downloaded the game from the Sony store at 6MB/s.

Is there a fix to this issue or anything that can be done? I find this situation rather unfair as it is taking time from my subscription.

The most popular fix to this is to set up new connection and when prompted choose manual when prompted, leave everything else Auto except DNS, using Google's public DNS 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4 respectfully, for the download, should open the flood gates.

It unfortunately doesn't work for fixing the patch error people had but it takes my download speed on FFXIV from 3.5mb/s to 10.5mb/s, a roughly 40 minute start to finish download on PS4 vs 2+ hours.
