Maelstrom Mission help??

Hi people :)

I am trying to "officially" join the Maelstrom in Limsa Lominsa since that is my starting city but now I have to do a mission where I pretty much have to "spy" on the other Grand Companies, I did a bunch of quests for each already but when I try to go back to Maelstrom the guy just keeps saying "to spy on the others and gain their knowledge blah blah blah".

Can someone tell me if I am doing something wrong or should I just keep doing the missions?

You basically have to do the quests that lead up to joining, for all 3. Then choose one and do the final quest for that one.

You are going to have to spy at the other two cities and do those quest also. After doing I think 3 quests for those cities thats going to be when all the cities will ask you to join and then you pick the one you want. Just make sure you save those marks so you can get your chocobo.

Ok, yea I got worried cause the other companies added me and I was like ughh..whats going on?

And yea thats what I really want to do is get my own chocobo and fight ifrit >:)

... by the time i got my chocobo, I had beaten Ifrit for the extra seals/points. Now I feel accomplished and ready for more!
