Now that custom matches and spectator mode is a thing...

How would y'all feel about hosting server tournaments? I would've loved for this to be cross-server, but alas. There's two ideas I have:

Weekly Double Elim 4vs4 light party tournament.
500,000gil entry fee per team (62,500 gil per player).
Entry fee goes into a pot for top 3 teams. Refunded if less than 4 teams sign up by deadline.
Best of 3 to advance. Best of 5 for finals. (Or maybe still best of 3, because that's 40+ mins of finals alone)

or

Server League Double Elim Light Party
1,000,000 gil entry fee per team (250,000 per player).
Entry fee goes into a pot for the top 3 teams.
Matches every week for league points.
Teams with the highest league points at the end of the season wins the pot and possibly a minion of their choice from the mog store.

I know the latter sounds a lot like the 4 vs 4 light party that we already have, but we can't spectate those. But I think this may encourage people to try it out without worrying too much about rankings and basically just having fun.

Your thoughts?

Been debating posting this up for a while now. Glad someone else is on the same idea train. I'll even donate 200k into the pot if you get 8 or more teams.
