Suggestion:Hope to see settings being saved to account instead of computer in future.

Hi, just freshly reinstalled my computer and downloaded ffxiv. Just as the title says i hope to see in future... settings being saved to account instead of the computer. In that way players can just jump right into the game with their settings set instead of reconfiguring everything from start. Hope to see this implemented soon!

There are some settings where it makes sense. For instance, a player might want a different HUD layout on their laptop screen than on the big TV they use from their console. That's stored client-side because it lets you use different settings from different clients.

Other features, though, make no sense. Gear Sets, for instance, belong on the server. It makes no sense at all to separate those by client.

Gear Sets, hotbars, macros, and Triple Triad decks should all be on the server. Limit client-side saves to things like HUD Layout.

Even that makes no sense, since you can have multiple HUD layouts.

Yeah, guess you're right. The HUD part used to make sense, back before multiple HUD layouts were added. Now none of it really does. All these settings would be better off stored server-side.
