HW code not valid?

bought a code for HW straight from S.E and i try to put it in the mog station, and all i kept getting is "code invalid" tried it on internet explorer, lowercase, copy and pasting it etc and still code invalid :/

I could be wrong here, but if you bought it directly while logged into your account, doesn't it apply directly? I don't remember putting in a code for HW.

i bought it on the S.E online store, they sent me an email with the code to put in on the mog station but as stated it comes up invalid, and ive checked the licenses i have and HW isnt one of them :(
