Sleeping Void Ark

So I was recently having trouble with my graphics card and switched to a much older laptop. While playing I've noticed that the background tends to "bug out" showing as small squares. Anyway back to the topic. As I was doing the daily quests for moogles I noticed an odd looking shape under Asah. And then I've started looking for my tinfoil hat. Anyway here's a picture of what I've seen - http://imgur.com/IHVBYZF . As I told this to the people in my FC they came to the same spot and said that they can only see purple clouds. So that made me wonder if that model is just chucked there for no reason or there might be a reason for it.

Void Ark could actually be seen floating around in the clouds before it was released as current content, I'm unsure if it still makes it's rounds these days but like much game development they tend to chuck stuff into unseen areas for "Storage" so they don't need to call up and spawn an item when they want it.

It may be that now that you've beaten that chunk of story, instead of having the model flutter around in the distance, it moves the model to an otherwise hidden corner of the map. Your glitched graphics/lower settings didn't load the cloud effect thst would normally hide it.

Well about the "storage" purpose that Jynx suggested : I can see the logic behind it, yet Void Ark as far as I'm aware only appeared in Sea of Clouds. That bit on the picture was seen by me in Churning Mists so a whole different zone. Correct me if I'm wrong of course, but since the zones are different it would still require them to "load" the model were it to be used.
About Ametrine's idea : That picture was taken before I even started the Sky Pirates quest line. I've cleared Void Ark some days ago, so I was unaware of what was it's history in the game. Yet the model is still in the same place, and that I confirm every day.
I'm sorry Lisotte that You've been misled and while I do can see why people would fall asleep there as stated above I've cleared it recently so I still need to grow bored of it. Who knows, maybe I'll be able to make Void Ark in my sleep. Till that day comes I'll just keep on clearing it in "the usual way".

Void Ark was flying in the Sea of Clouds and Churning Mists from the begining of 3.0. Quest progretion does not change anything. You can find it at dawn in Churning Mists, flying through the northwestern part of the map. At dusk it passes from west to north at the maps border in the Sea of Clouds. At night it is resting under Asah, normaly you can see only blurry lights.
