Just want to know if fellow Feast players think its fair SCH being the only healer to not have a healing-based PvP skill as their Job unique.
Aura blast used to be good in lvl 50 frontline when you could just bait ppl and push them off the edge but in feast a 180sec aoe push back is a joke especialy since we only have blizz 2 for cc
Well beside it helps you to get like 1 cast off and only CC a sch has is blizzard 2 its not unfair at all. I mean whm for example has fluid aura/repose/heavy(stone) + as pvp skill sacred prism which basically let you easily keep your team alive for 30sec.
They need to give the fairy a unique pvp skill.
Sch already has more skills because of the pet, I think they are also the strongest healer in soloq. Between Aldo and 9x lustrate, no other healer can fight against burst as well as sch.
eso useful skills is rouse, fey wind and fey illumination. Combine them all together for a strong aoe regen. Fey covenant is weak. Eso could use a cc ability like a aoe slow.
SE has recently spoke up about Sch (as well as War) being, possibly, too overpowered. They're actually considering re-adjusting our entire job spectrum with the implementation of the next expansion, in which Sch (and War) will likely see their overall utility nerfed to help balance them with their counterparts. With that said, I wouldn't expect to see anymore serious job adjustments until 4.0. Even if they did do an adjustment, I highly doubt that Sch will be gaining anything additional out of the deal. It would be pointless to buff them now only to nerf them later, especially considering how powerful that job already is.
For anyone who is curious, this was the interview with Yoshi-P: https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comme..._needs_to_ask/
The specifics for the job balancing was this part:
The changes that they are discussing are not PvP specific, obviously, but everything trickles down. The only question is how far this re-adjustment will go. When it comes to War, I don't think we have much to worry about in PvP. Their Raid utility doesn't amount to much in the arena, so long as their burst remains in-tact. For Sch, though, any changes they make could have much bigger ramifications on how that job preforms in a PvP setting. I don't expect it will be big, but it might make a difference to how sch's handle their responsibilities. For those of you who play as sch, I'd probably keep an eye out for any changes to the job come 4.0. In the meantime, no worries. Just business as usual.Quote:
Q5. Now we'd like to get into job balance. Thanks to your careful balancing, there isn't a single job that can't clear all content. We think that is marvelous, but i feel warriors and Scholars are a little..you know?
Y. Not a little...I think they are sticking out when it comes to utility. I'm not comparing jobs with their personal potential, but when you look at the wide range of utility WARs and SCHs can offer, they are just outrageous.
Q. By that, you mean in an 8 man party?
Y. Not specifically an 8 man party. In any sort of party composition, WARs and SCHs can slip themselves through most situations and their seats are guaranteed. When you compare WARs and SCHs to other jobs, you can say there is a bigger container when it comes to playerskill where the job can carry you and that is what troubles me.
Q. Are youg going to touch them in the future?
Y. Not before the expansion and we aren't going to just snipe those two jobs. With the next expansion, we will balance all jobs as a whole including new actions to balance them out. Basically, we'd like to push the other jobs up there, but it's not as simple as buffing the other jobs will equal their strengths so we are still struggling. Systemly and having a pet is what makes it complicated, so we are trying to be careful.
