So I'm ilv 224
And my dps is capping at 11-1200...
My weapon is 220 and I'm missing some blue jewelry
Is that why my dps is a bit on the lower side?

upgrading your weapon will help out your dps tremendously.
Around that ilevel 1500-1600 is where you should be at. Considering you're missing accessories I would guess you have quite a few i230 left side pieces, which means that you probably could push even more. The only reason for your low damage is something with your rotation or movement that is causing a severe drop in DPS.
Get a better weapon and fix your rotation. Your DPS isn't atrocious but it's about 200-300 from where you should be. At full i240 you should be hitting 2000+ on dummies (by comparison).
Sounds like missing AA for me
It's quite atrocious, at that level 1500 DPS shouldn't be hard and having a span of 1100-1200 meaning 300-400 less DPS which equals about 80% of were he should be lying. That is about the DPS one does by simply landing AA and using the base rotation excluding ToD. Not even any cooldowns used.
ehh i just start play my monk 2 weeks ago and i link a video with the rotation i start using.
You can watch the video and i also link the Rotation to the video.
my not perfect but a good start i guess

This won't be an issue after the patch but you're delaying your auto attacks by not moving around the target properly. I didn't watch the whole thing but from what i saw, you're missing dot ticks by letting them fall off. Twin snakes is also dropping on reapplication during your opener because you're using it before dragon kick. You also messed up your rotation and let dk fall off randomly. Basically your gear isn't the issue, you just need to study the monk rotation and practice it more.
If you have rotation questions you can just look them up here in the forums. Last I checked the monk thread had some really good info in it. Should help you out a lot. Then from there it's just practicing the rotation and getting used to cooldown usage once you get a better understanding of how the class functions.
