Possible ideas for rewards for players staying with game during pay period

Hey, I was thinking of the idea of what they want to give us for paying during the period before 2.0 is released. They mentioned a possible special mount while some of us may think that is great others might not. A issue I had about this is how long would u have to play to get the mount? I dont think it would be fair for someone to pay for one month and get the mount (or whatever they give us) and the people who play from now get the same thing. I was thinking that maybe if they implemented a global item for example a piece of gear or ability that lets u teleport to a location for free every so many hours (say 12 hours). What i think would be a better idea for what item we get i think they could have a list of possible items or mounts or whatever they decide would be good choices. You could have some sort of point system where you get a certain amount of points per month that u have paid before 2.0. Then after it goes live you get to pick from a list of possible choices that you would like to have. Some ideas for this could be a mount, a weapon say from Ifrit, even possibly a item that gains you X amount of levels, or some other special items. Anyways this was just a idea i had and was wondering what everyone thought or if they had other ideas as well. Maybe they will take these ideas as a possible way to reward those of us who pay depending on length of time you pay.

That's kind of a good idea. The point system might work. The rewards most likely wont come until 2.0 so i would want to know way before hand what the rewards were and how many points watch one costs.

That way depending on how you gain these points, if your like me, most people would want to make sure to get enough points to get everything they want. For example I want all 3 of the mob mounts they showed off, and I hope I get the chance to have all three.

As far as different rewards go.

Maybe some really great low lvl gear. You know there is going to be new jobs and more people playing when 2.0 hits so maybe one would want to start a new job.

Gil would be a good idea, if the keep guild marks around we could get those or seals for your GC.

Or just some other rare items for you to wear, like gear that would be just for show, or some really neat items for the mog house.

you are getting a reward, you are getting missing...i mean exclusive content.

ya thats what i was thinking about the different items they could give us a heads up or at least a choice. I know they plan to give us a reward which is exclusive but lots of people might not want or care for what it is. If someone whos paid for the game prior to 2.0 paid for one month and gets the exclusive item the same as someone whos paid for say 6 months- a year I personally dont find that very fair to the people who have supported the game longer. Of course it should only be those who pay during the pay period prior to 2.0 because it doesn't cost anything right now so people don't care as much about game content as they do when they pay.

does anyone else think this is a good idea?
