TGS 2016

So I am going to be at Tokyo Game Show next weekend. Getting excited about doing the battle challenges but I have a few questions. I'm sure many of you have taken part in the challenges in the past so where better to ask than here!

Firstly, I'm assuming that there will be both PCs and PS4s to play on, but just thought I would check whether that is usually the case. As a PS4 player I don't think I'd even be able to play using a keyboard and mouse! Secondly, do you get to play as your own character somehow or do you just get given one to play as? Thirdly, in case you are playing as a character you have been assigned, do you normally get some time before the challenge starts e.g. to rearrange your hotbar? Lastly, I have heard varying accounts of the difficulty of these challenges. Some people say that they are just the HM versions, others say they are between HM and extreme in terms of difficulty and others say they are actually easier than the HM versions. Just wondering what others' experiences of previous battle challenges were like in this regard.

Also, is anyone here going to be at TGS this year? What are you looking forward to most? I really need to do some research about what is actually happening beyond FFXIV XD

They give you a premade character that usually has a 2-3 job options so your party can kind of tweak the setup. (tanks can be any of the tanks just change weapon same with healers, I think all jobs had the option to go smn as an alternative and the mnk could be a drg etc)

They arent terribly hard but I would say its probably a bit tougher than an HM. (I would say probably in the neighbourhood of nidhoggs story battle)

They had the option of a controller or a keyboard on every station I was at so how you play is your choice

For the 3 ones I have done you were given 3mins to setup your hotbars.

I hope I get in a group that is okay with a SMN then. It's the only job I play as!
