Seaborne Aethersand
I've been periodically fishing for aetherial reduction with a focus on Pteranodons. I have a problem with the reduction rate for Seaborne Aethersand. It's way too rare. I can catch around 20 pteranodon during the fishing window with around 5 - 8 of them being 8/8 quality and a number of others being 7/8. I can walk away with an assortment of Dawnborne and Duskborne aethersands. And I can go through multiple fishing windows without seeing even one Seaborne aethersand. This is absolutely ridiculous. I have seen them reduce from Pteranodons, but it is way too rare. Is the drop rate even working properly for it?

I mostly fish pteranodons for dawnborne and duskborne. The chance is pretty low from pteranodons but i get best results from thailak caiman and tupuxuara.

When this was last discussed the concensus was that although Pteranodon can give seaborne it was just so low a chance that the Thaliak Caiman & Tupuxuara are the only true sources worth bothering with.

I ended uo fishing some Thaliak Caiman last night and better results with that. The fishing window for it is so small and overlaps and bumps into other fishing windows. ;_; Don't the Thaliak Caiman and Tupuxuara windows perfectly overlap?
Thanks

Yes their windows collide but i think to get the best of out of it, just pick one and include it in your "rotation".
For example heres how i fish:
1) Pteranodon
1.5) Most times i fish pteranodon in its full window, if not:
2) Thailak Caiman or Tupuxuara
3) Caiman in Iron feast. Much better than bullfrog mooch only because it can get away with the lure.
4) Dravanian bass when available
Half an hour or so until pteranodon is available again.

Ptéranodon got around 5% chance of landing seaborne
While thaliak caïman is closer to 35%
Even of it's slower to get caïman the overall result is always better
And caïman is easier than tupuxuara
