Gear/Glamour Requests for 3.5 and Beyond

It might be too late for 3.4, but going forward, would you consider scarves and mufflers as neck accessories/glamour? The Vath body piece already has a muffler that comes with it, but being able to wear one with our choice of body gear would be great, and would look great as well! This would also provide a little more variety among all the typical chokers or necklaces.

The Heavy High Allagan Coat, PLD and DRG Esoteric armors, Y'shtola's Scion Healer Robe, several tank/DRG PvP armors, and the new contest winner are all great examples of long, open front lower body pieces. Having an open front skirt or lower body piece as a separate piece from a top would be nice as well.

As a consideration for 4.0, the Survivor's Shirt and several gatherer tops have attached pouches, belts, satchels, and are really nice! Please consider not only making belts visible (still with the option to NOT show them), but also creating more. . . utilitarian belt/pouch/waistpack glamours. These, in conjunction with singular tops that have no belts attached would make for a nice combination!

Unfortunately two of your ideas almost definitely will not be possible, for the reason it actually complicates gear design due to clipping issues. Specifically, visible belt appearance for whatever belt you are equipped with was a feature of the original version of FFXIV (1.0) but was actually removed for ARR because it actually was restrictive to gear variety - SE had to consciously design all body armour in 1.0 with the knowledge that belts would appear on it and thus they had to make sure the body armour would not clip with the belt (or vice versa), hence this not only increased development time for gear it reduced the variety in gear designs, you most certainly would never have seen the amazing variety of equipment we have now if they retained visible belts in ARR. So sadly, this will not be coming back.

For that reason, scarves and mufflers would probably clip too badly with most armour as well so I doubt very much you will ever see something like that added I'm sorry to say.

i too would love to see these added. i know clipping is a big issue/concern. (as a lala i get tons of things clipped, stretched, distorted and god knows what else). heck I'm running around in the weeping city tank gear right now watching certain "armor" parts (the parts that drape along the sides from the coat to be exact) and they're stretching as i run(im sure other races deal with similar issues as well). not to mention we all know how robes/skirts act on this game... but based on certain gears I've seen on here. i think its doable. just a matter of "if they have enough time" or "if demand is high enough" heck they made the gil turtle fly! I'm sure they could work their magic on this idea as well.
