Without giving away your strategy (of course) what are you hording, completing, putting aside in preparation for 4.0?
What type of goodies to you foresee going up in value in the MBs or what item are you making sure you attain (gear wise) in preparation? I gave up on the upgrade on my wep and got the POTD weps just to find out a day later that the elusive (to me) Illuminati Deep Gobdip was now easily attainable with a Farthing and a Penny, but, I had just used my V materia on the POTD weps.
got relic current, my only actual goal is to finish levelling battle jobs and hopefully get my crafters to 60 as well, nothing major outside of keeping story current(thing i look forward to most these days)
I'm just gonna go with the same panicked "5 days before version ends"-rush to suddenly do all kinds of pointless things I suddenly want to finish :rolleyes:
- definitely want all DoW and DoM at 60.
- first time bonus of wanting all DoL there as well.
- finish the last relic step we'll get on at least one weapon
- finish some more of the 2.x relics
- get a whole bunch of achievements done that I'll only think of 5 days before servers go down
- get/hold on to all glamour gear I like from 3.x, because with old currencies fading, droprates changing and no one doing said content anymore it will be horror to try and get them in 4.0
- get all the furniture for a new house in the dying but still lasting hope that at least 4.0 will FINALLY give us a new housing area >.> [FINISHED]
As for MB speculation - pretty much nothing. Everything will be outdated so fast so if anything, I assume everything will go DOWN in price a lot instead of up.
Maybe rare glamour mats from content that no one will do anymore at most^^
Not much to capitalize pre expansion besides consumables like food.
The cash is in the gathering crafting rush that will take place.
Get all classes to 50, then start HW.
The same thing I did to prepare for 3.0:
Nothing.
Still deciding between battle content rush or crafting/gathering rush. I went with the latter with HW.
But the most important prep work would be opening up retainer inventory space.
I want to get all classes to 60 before 4.0, but I'm pretty sure I'll just be too lazy and not bother. I think I don't want to prepare as much as I want to get done with current stuff so I can focus on the 4.0 stuff when it gets released. ("Current" as in currently easy so I finally get them done like get Kirin and do Odin. Yeah I'm far from completing 2.0.)
*Get Gandiva and maybe another Anima weapon to i230
*Unlock another Legendary gathering area or fishing hole.
*Upgrade a few more Keep tools to i200.
