Steam account

Hey,
I recently purchased a code for heavensward, however i cant use it because of my account is a standard steam account, is there a way to change my account type so i can keep my gametime and character but also use this key.
I know i should have checked before hand but i goofed up, i would be very helpful if someone could help me or shed some light on the situation.

It is not possible to convert a Steam account into a standard PC account, or vice versa. Hate to say it but you're stuck with a useless code. Maybe try to find someone with the opposite problem
