Haddock / Battered Fish

Last year, I was not quite high level enough to participate in the seasonal event, but because I had culinarian unlocked, the Battered Fish recipe was automatically added to my available recipes.

I was a newbie, so I was unaware seasonal events changed every year instead of repeated, so I figured I'd just do it next year. Now that Moonfire Faire has rolled around again, the 'Festive Fisher' that sold Haddock is nowhere to be found.

Am I cursed to never be able to craft this item? If so is there any way we could get a QoL improvement and remove seasonal-only craft recipes from the crafting log after the event is over?

You could always catch haddock by fishing.

Oh, I just remembered, the haddock used in this recipe isn't the same as the haddock used in other recipes. In that case you probably can't make it again unless they change the recipe to accept the available fish.

That is not why you have that. I have it on a new alt I made less than 2 months ago. If you made an alt today, they'd get it.

And that variation of haddock was never made sellable. So it's possible you could make this but you'd need to find someone who was there for the event and bought fish they didn't use and never threw them out.

And for what? 1 more notch on the "I made it!" achievements? Those are incredibly easy to hit now.
