What are you in it for? How do you go about getting there?

I am in it for the mount and only that.
I play TT at least 2-3 times a week for about an hour or so. Slow going but there is no rush

Some of the glamour clothes.
One day I want the Fenrir mount.
Ofc, also got all the dances and minions and the like.
The GATEs are fun.

How I go about getting there:
Slower than slow. About once every 12 weeks I do the MGS challenge log.
About once per 2 weeks I do the mini cactopod and some GATEs.
I sign up for the big lottery too every second week, but always forget to check if I won something the next ^^°

Just getting more MGP. I got everything I wanted from the Gold Saucer.

Goal is to hit 2 mil in expectation of the next rewards, doing only mini cactpot xD

You mean Gold Saucer related? I want my Fenrir and a good supply of MGP for the music and emotes that will eventually be available only in the Saucer.
I just do a Cliffhanger or Skinchange GATE when I am there and they are up, the rest are terrible so I ignore those. I do the first 2 Challenge log entries for mini-games and MGP award and the mini-cactpots every day.

I have been at it for months but will finally have Fenrir in about a week or so. From there, back to building up the MGP for the future stuff.

What am i after? Already bought Fenrir, all the minions, emotes, and cards you can just purchase other than cloud. Eventually i want all the cards(spending a million on gold packs and not getting one of the 2 rare cards is brutal - thats why i bought Fenrir halfway through), ill buy the turtle(but wont like it when it randomely shows up as my mount - not a fan of the spinning), i might put together a bunny outfit, and eventually ill get back to my racing bird so plenty of food. Plus, it never hurts to have a store of MGP to buy whatever new thing shows up in a future patch.

How am i getting there? I do mini almost daily(ive got the achievement for earning over a mil via mini alone). I buy a jumbo weekly(ive only even gotten 1 number right once or twice), though that hasnt helped much. I can beat any of the GATEs(the roe skinchange is the hardest, fungah is just luck), and ill clear most of them if they spawn during the 5 mins im at the saucer unless im in a hurry. I play cards/race when im in the mood(1-2 times a month usually until i hit some arbitrary goal like a certain number of bird levels or chasing down a particular card). When my luck is being especially bad ill force an MGP win with the challenge log(once per week/alternating weeks - usually by winning the miner or botanist mini game 3 times without doubling down to clear both the 3 minigame wins mark and the 100 mgp won via minigames one). I only rarely do the tournaments, and even then its usually just sign up and collect the participation prize.

I already bought the few glamour pieces I liked (bunny ears and a couple tops) a long time ago but the rest is not my taste at all.

I am pretty much just doing mini cactpot when I think of it, saving for the future..maybe more glamour if they add some I like at one point.

have not bought any of the pets or mounts, can afford to, but just no umph to get them atm.

I pretty much have the same mentality as you! I'm not particularly keen on the Fenrir mount and I've only obtained some of the bunny outfit. I've actually grown kind of bored of the GS now >.<
