Textarea for Blogs

It's something what really annoys me about some time.
Why can I resize the textarea horizontally instead of vertically. This doesn't make any sense at all. I know I can change it myself by just adjusting the CSS-Rule for it by using a developer tool, but this is not a real solution.

If I write a longer post I have to scroll a lot because I have only 13 Lines avaiable to read and resizing the textarea horizontally makes the text hard to read.

Can you change the CSS-Rule from "resize: horizontally" to "resize: vertically" or "resize: both". That would be very neat.
