Regarding Bans and such.

I'd like if GMs would do a thorough investigation before they decide to ban people based on "reports". I feel it's very unfair and misleading to ban people simply due to the fact a majority said a "player" did something "wrong". How can one be certain, that it is not an entire FC or "best friends" sending in reports just to remove someone from the game without factual evidence and I am speaking about this from my own personal experience with Gms and receiving various/mixed responses regarding harassment and such.

Any thoughts?

Unless you yourself can go back and check your actual in-game chat logs, I doubt you can say that a ban is "wrong". The GM's do their job, and I fail to believe that people get banned wrongly. People tend to forget information when things happen that could get them into trouble. You can see that in other forum posts here, as well. "Oh I was banned for 3 days for harassment, but how could I, I'm generally nice to everyone!!", and then of course it was the one time they told someone to go shove a **** up their ***, and they got reported for it, and forgot about it.

tl:dr - You prolly still deserved your ban, and should let the gm's gm, that's why they're gm's.

this reminds me of a thread about kicking people for under-performing, I wrote that age-old arguement about differing play styles and someone said you can find resources online regarding kick violation bans "everywhere" I casually searched and all I could find were reddit topics and YouTube videos of people getting banned for dropping F-bombs 100 times in a span of two hours in /shout.

This guy may also just be a lucky duckling but I have a Static member go into DR with his friend just to have numbers, and this is to kick under-performers out asap. I can no longer count on my hands and feet how many times I've heard the command on TS to kick someone and he says he's never even been warned...

Back on topic, if you don't want to be banned save the silly and inappropriate talk for voice chat and be all proper and polite in game chat lol

So you made this because of an FC mate's ban? It's....not really your place to? You'll only ever get what happened to them, in their eyes. You won't 100% get the picture, and it's better to not stick your nose in it.

I'm not sticking my nose in anything, but suggesting for GMs to review evidence more thoroughly, got nothing nice to say then comment elsewhere..

Also, I know exactly what happened as another member was there and I know for a fact they have no reason to lie about the situation that happened.

I'm convinced you did not read my post, therefore making your comment irrelevant. I never stated they were in the WRONG. I am asking for them to review chat logs etc etc versus telling me that they go based off the number of reports, not factual evidence. Further more, my FC mate was not banned due to profanity and even so I was told by a GM profanity has nothing to do with being banned.

Please read more thoroughly. I am just giving suggestions to GMs because I'm getting mixed answers.

So what, you're friend didn't offend multiple people? Look, people take things differently, and no matter what you say was or wasn't the case, they got banned. The GM's do a pretty good job here, and I have some personal storys about it. You're friend got on the wrong end of the hammer this time, they just need to be more careful.

I'm not saying GMs do good or bad, I know it's mixed. I'm asking them to be more thorough in their investigations. My friend/member got banned because his macro was "points and laughs <t>" yes, it's pretty immature and stupid. However, during people reporting him for "spam" they failed to report themselves for verbally bashing and abusing him. That's the bit of the situation without going into further details. I just feel like banning him because of his macro is a bit over the top, especially since in game people deal with bullying, harassment, slander, gil buyers/sellers. I just feel more can and needs to be done.

And you want faceless people to take your word for it. This is the internet, and sorry to be 'that guy', but friends always believe their friends and such, and unless everyone on the forums was there as well to see it happen, I can't entirely believe you. Friends look better in a friend's eyes, even if they're being a jerk to someone.

And sure they got banned for being a dipstick about something, but you don't know the whole thing. You don't know what the GMs can/can't see when they know when/where something went on. They can see chat logs when they know that much info.

Though again, you weren't directly involved about this, this really shouldn't be your place to say if the GMs did/n't do something right.

Asking to be more thorough and stuff isn't really saying "they didn't do something right" lol. I mean it's quite obvious you're not really reading my posts. Therefore I'll just ignore you now because you're clearly missing the entire point. Also, I've always been a fair person. I just don't believe people on a whim even my friend, but I know for a fact people were using excessive profanity during that raid for his "macro" get over it.
