Job Talents ... ?

So discussing with friends what would make FFXIV more interesting and take it to another level we all thought if in the next expansion they would add a Talent system to each job starting at whatever level would make the most sense. Obviously this idea comes from another very popular MMO (lol) but we think it could work well in FF. If something like this was added we thought it could make PvP more popular, make the jobs feel more personalized and just put a new fresh spin on it.

Wanted to post here to see what the rest of the community would think about this and if it would be popular enough, hoping the right eyes would come across this post as a suggestion and possibly make it happen. If not talents, ideas on what would take gameplay to a new exciting level?

Id love for the original AoE types to come back I found them interesting how they were somewhat different so you needed to stand in certain areas to do things (cnj,thm). The 1.0 cross class/trait system was very interesting and would LOVE for it to come back redesigned with better balance but most wouldn't like that since they would need to level more than one class.

Inb4 people saying there would be one BiS talent build join in.
I like this idea and I have been supporting it for a while, there are MMOs with multiple possible talent builds and it only depends on the ability of devs to come up with useful stuff.

We are already getting close to skill bloat and I don't think we would handle more new skills on our hotbars (well I personally would because I am playing on Naga, which gives me many more possible keybinds, but RIP PS players).

I would like to see a diversion and more freedom of choice like skill trees etc. But given the current dev policy seems unlikely. They want to keep the game cool simple and clean. Also there are some balance concerns. If something like this ever happens it better be well calculated and balanced. The last thing we need is people getting flamed because they chose the "noob" tree. Have a little patience till Fan Fests. We gonna get a glimpse on where 4.0 is heading. I would also like to see something to be done with the cross class skills. Either this be completely removed or being further enhanced. But what I really want is more advanced and dynamic dungeons. Also I would like to see the Limit Break system revised to be per person and not 1 for the whole group. We got custom LB animations that some jobs never use. You can alter Boss' HP to balance it out. Limit Breaks are iconic to FF series. It must be further enhanced here. The LB system as it is now is pathetic.

I'd love it, though...Yoshi-P has denied on it before I think? I remember reading an interview, I dunno which but he said something along the lines of "If you want to experience other gameplay, try playing another job instead."

Although I'd like specializations in jobs. An actual DPS Warrior? An actual DPS Dark Knight with life-steal and souleater/darkness? Yes PLEASE.

Hopefully...along with other ideas he's denied before (like the glamour book).

So basically each job would be given a skill tree.. Lets pretend every 10 levels you gain a new talent, a side menu would be given showing 3 different talents you can choose from on that level.. you are free to mix and match to personalize your play-style and character how you want. Talents can be skills or passive enhancements to skills you already are using. I've seen skill trees built so many different ways so I guess it would depend on how the creators feel would be the best way to implement into FF. I just like the idea of having our characters be able to grow in a more unique way, the power to customize and the freedom to be unlike all of the other WARs, BRDs, WHMs, etc. in the game. Possibilities are endless and I think alot of seasoned FFXIV players would appreciate a facelift to give us a chance to fall inlove with our chosen jobs again.
