Is it worth returning to? What class to star over?

Hellos,

I quit playing FFIXV a bit ago because you know, real life happens.
I wanted to start back but of course all my friends are way too far in-game.

So my question is, is the server dead? Like, will I be stuck not being able to do dungeons? Is it worth it to start again? If yes, what classes is the most needed?

It's still up and running, also personally I recommend starting with archanist since its a DPS who can heal and resurrect people so it's good for low level stuff
