Three Lane PVP
With the popularity of things like LoL and many games in that genre of "MOBA" which has taken the world by storm, not only for casuals but for the hardcore too. Why in the world have we not seen this as a PVP mode for FFXIV?
Improve what people already like, or make a clone! With Frontlines and Feast being available, why not slap them both together and make something truely amazing?
(I feel like im driving a Ferrari with the speed governed to 70mph with whats available)
Different strokes for different folks I suppose, I just feel SE could capitalize on it, and more then likely bring a ton of new traffic just for this if it is done correctly.
Just a thought thats been mulling around in my head for awhile, from a business standpoint which is what SE cares most about, I think this idea would be 100% win.
Anyone else out there that would love a 3 lane?

Wouldn't it have to be a 9-lane if you want anything more than an 8v8? Can't just leave out our traditional three-ways... (Or can we?)
That said, it's not as if a MOBA must be 3-lane either, and where/if FFXIV PvP finds itself unable to imitate certain successes of the MOBA genre, the map's probably one of the least crucial differences. We've a large ability count that individually feel rather limited in forming an arsenal. We have relatively uninteresting objectives. The environments themselves feel mostly tied to either of two themes, wooden arena barren and battlefield barren (sensible, even quite attractive in their own way, but eventually feeling a little too similar, and never much by way of eye-candy). PvE components where present generally overtake, rather than augment or reorient, PvP components. There are no items, no leveling, no gearing or specialization paths (not that I'd like to emulate that part of certain MOBAs, for sure).

I dont know how it would work if you mean 3-way as in GC vs GC vs GC. When I say three lane I mean 3 paths (amount of paths is arbitrary). I dont think this would work as a large scale type of battle, and I would suggest making it a +1 team per lane. So if the map is 3 lanes then you would have a team of 4, to give way for a floater to bounce between the lanes to support his team.

Map design is critical for how fun and engaging a game is, perfect example is original wolves den vs feast. How fun would a map be if you couldnt LoS? Or if you couldnt use your knock back for a swift and easy kill of a ledge?
