Me, Ironworks crafting and RNG

This 80 & 90% hit change feels like a big fat lie :(

Is their some hidden 'less change to hit' with crafting specialist items? Or do I just experience the end of the stick with RNG? I tried to make 8 Ironworks specialist HQ items, with HQ materials. I used food. Ironworks HQ Gear melded. I miss some con,cp and craft, but its almost at the max. Every piece got at least 4 materia in it

I've never been this unlucky and missed this many 80 and 90% tries. My last try I miss 7(!) out of 9 with 80% hit change.
And, just to have some fun I guess, RNG gave me a rainbow sphere, at the end with 15 durability left, to make everything great again. I couldn't cast Steady Hand II because the black sphere after a rainbow would screw me. You can guess what happened next. This made me pretty salty and ask if anyone else experienced this?

because atm I'm so broke that when I'm thirsty I need to piss in a bottle to drink it.

I have made 22 pieces of the Ironworks gear thus far, starting from minimum stats to now having a comfy buffer. I had 5-10% starting quality for each. All have gone NQ, and nothing was abnormal in terms of RNG. Had some nasty runs (5 90% fails in the Maker's Mark run on one craft), and some good.

Are you using Rath's rotation (Maker's Mark, Waste Not II, etc)? Are you taking Tricks of the Trade where you can, and replacing Hasty Touch with Precise Touch/Basic Touch when you can?

This I have experienced and it is PAINFUL, but I always watch my steps carefully and use ToT where needed. I am very very cautious but I have noticed a lot more fails with progress than there were previously, idk what they have done/might have done but on certain days at certain times when I can tell it just isn't my day I log off. I know it sounds dumb but sometimes you go to synth and the game hates you and other times you knock it out of the park at 52% HQ....idk what to say but it does seem to be happening more lately.

Unfortunately this kind of stuff is inevitable. I've had my share of miss after miss after miss after miss after....

And it sucks. I once had a friend give me mats to make ironworks gear for her. I started making the first item and I couldn't HQ it, even though I was very simple for me to HQ my own items...even before I had my ironworks set!

So of course I bought all new mats for her to make the item as promised.

And other times you'll get an HQ item with just a 1% HQ chance.

And there are times were you'll never miss a single Hasty Touch or Rapid Synthesis when crafting several items.
But it certainly feels like things never HQ or succeed when it really matters.

It only sounds dumb to someone it hasn't happened to. It's probably happened to more players than not.

I have crafted lots of ironworks pieces and Hq'ed about 90% of them, the remaining 10% i have gambled with reclaim and it has failed more times than it succeds. I dont really feels that hasty/rapid fails more with the final product than it does with the ingot/lumber/leather.

This is why I do not enjoy crafting.

Yesterday I had Excellent condition come up 3 times in one synth and I wasn't even making something important. I was thinking it would be nice to have that kind of luck when I'm doing a master synth lol.

I've had some nasty synths where actions fail several times and screw the whole thing, but to be fair it's not often that happens so the percentages seem about right.

Reclaim really needs to be 100% already.

Hasty Touch can be cruel sometimes. I got it only 2 times in my crafting rotation and it still fails way to often, even with Steady Hand II.
